The Focal Point on Israel’s Foreign Affairs and International Relations

 

Working with government agencies, international organizations, think-tanks and prominent individuals from Israel and around the world, the Institute seeks to advance Israel’s foreign relations and international standing and to promote an informed debated on Israel’s foreign policy catalyzing the formation of a smart power-based grand strategy for Israel.

The Institute is set to become the central hub for Israeli foreign policy by utilizing the convening and networking power of the Institute and its flagship event, the Annual Herzliya Conference Series. By fostering active leadership networks of common interest and cooperation through a series of programs, the Institute will uniquely leverage the following courses of actions:

  • Promoting and facilitating an informed Israeli debate on foreign policy and world affairs through a plethora of activities – hosting events with key policy-makers from Israel and abroad, publications, strategic updates, special briefings, etc.
  • High-level Herzliya Taskforces and Roundtables backed by policy research on topical issues of Israel’s foreign policy – ranging from public diplomacy and strategic communication (tackling the “Soft War” against Israel), through Israel’s multilateral diplomacy, to rebuilding EU-Israel relations.
  • Engaging with world renowned think-tanks, foundations, elite forums, (e.g., Council on Foreign Relations, International Institute for Strategic Studies, German Marshall Fund of the US, Trilateral Commission).
  • Facilitating the networking of senior Israelis from government, politics, business, academia, civil society and media with their peers in dedicated regional forums – Europe, Asia-Pacific, and Latin America.
  • Advocacy and targeted activities in Israel and abroad involving executive policy-makers and their senior staff to attain policy impact.
